A Personal Trading Journal | TradeReview Pro
A Trading Journey, Documented in Practice
This journal follows my existing $10,000 FTMO Instant Account, including early results, difficult periods and subsequent trading decisions. It is a record of actual experience, not a presentation of a perfect track record.
The account has an established history. The earliest and later figures below are distinct snapshots of the same account; they should not be mistaken for separate accounts or separate daily returns.
Account and Journal Reference
- Original simulated account size: $10,000
- Initial documented snapshot: 9 closed trades, −$400.36
- Later balance snapshot, before a further trade: $9,391.10 (−$608.90, approximately −6.09% relative to $10,000)
- Personal monthly objective: 3% (not an FTMO requirement or guaranteed return)
These snapshots do not establish how much was lost on any particular intervening day. I will date and verify individual entries when records support them.

Journal Entries
Day 1 — A Difficult Beginning: The initial results and why a performance review must look beyond profit and win rate.
Day 2 — When Emotion Meets Execution: The experience of a position moving against me, risk-to-reward mathematics and the importance of protecting the next decision.
Day 3 — When Being Right Isn't Enough: The USDJPY sell trade on 30 October, manual exit, and reflection on turning favorable movement into a realized result.
Trading as a Business
In this journal, financial outcomes and operating discipline are evaluated separately. Profit alone does not prove good execution; a loss alone does not prove a poor decision. The Trading as a Business section explains those principles.
Disclosure: This personal journal concerns an FTMO simulated trading account. Figures are dated historical snapshots, not projections of future results. Monetary rewards are subject to FTMO conditions. The personal 3% monthly objective is not guaranteed. No trading advice or signals are provided. TradeReview Pro is independent of FTMO.
